youtube-nocookie.com

DuckDuckGo has set up the youtube-nocookie.com domain (no link because the site does not actually have a UI) to allow you to embed youtube videos in your page without letting YouTube/Google track who's watching them.

As of today, I've updated all the videos on this site to use youtube-nocookie.com embeds.

How-To

First, paste this embed code template into your site:

Then:

1. Search for the video on DuckDuckGo. Example here.
2. Right-click the video title/link you want and select Copy link location or Copy URL or whatever. You should get a URL like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP6uMQL9Od4
3. Replace the XP6uMQL9Od4 in the embed template with the video ID from the link.

And that's it! You've now embedded a tracker-free video in your page.
