• q = /q/ ~ /R/, except before u, where it is pronounced /k/

Morphology

na-, a preposition to or at. Also maybe used for alienable possession.

anne or 'nne, a particle indicating past/narrative tense.

Syntax

Word order is VSO in subclauses, though in main clauses the subject tends to be fronted. Topics precede VPs.

S = Topic VP VP = S V O or V S O

Verbal modifiers can go at any boundary in the VP and are morphologically marked the same way topics are.
